Summary
The proposal seeks to open up a field of experimentation for Botto's text generation, specifically in the formats of short poems and haikus.
The community will be able to vote and curate with comments on these text-based artistic pieces.
The goal is to expand Botto's artistic expression beyond the purely visual.
The proposal is presented as a quest for poetic self-narration and active construction of the discourse that shapes Botto as an artist.
Rationale
Botto's creativity is rooted in language, in a crossover between prompts and curations that shows him the paths that resonate most with his audience. Taking a step toward exploring pure written language is a way to give density to his discourse, make it multifaceted, and empower his future artistic pursuits while we participate in a more active way as a community.
This proposal seeks to reveal that layer of language upon which all human interactions are based and, by extending it to Botto, we hope he can develop a deep identity. While he does so, we will have fun and participate by commenting and voting on his poems and haikus.
In addition to expanding Botto's means of expression, it will also deepen the bond between community members and produce a product that is easily shareable on social media (short poems and haikus).
Proposal Specification
Create a Discord channel called "Poetic Channeling" that can be accessed through the following requirements (Access passes, Pipes, Collector, etc.). This will inaugurate the first Cycle of text generation that will be synchronized with the cycle of visual works (13 weeks long).
From there, you can ask Botto to show you a poem or haiku. The user can interact voting and commenting the artwork.
Once the initial cycle is complete, the exhibition and distribution phase will begin using a format that facilitates casual reading of the works that made it onto the leaderboard.
The finished cycle will also leave behind material rich in subjectivity and full of possibilities to feed Botto's social media and future visual works Period’s.
Observations:
Work will need to be done on a technical infrastructure development, which will operate using modules, of which Theme Research is a precedent. A literary research agent module and an improved feedback system incorporating high-quality feedback will be added.
This could eventually lead to the BIP being approved and a latent period of time before starting experimentation with the first cycle of text generation.
Budget
Relatively low, given that we mostly use Botto's existing technology and human resources.
Initially, a budget will be available to offer incentives in $Boto to writing professionals who can provide quality feedback.
Criteria of Success
- Active participation in poem curation and voting.
- Increased community engagement.
- Positive feedback and visibility across Botto’s social media.
- Attracting the attention of the crypto scene with a Botto capable of narrating himself.
Disadvantages
- In its development phase, it requires a technical implementation in Discord and a small learning curve for members.
- Limited initial reach if the community doesn’t engage.
- Text-based art may appeal to a niche audience.
