0.0 Summary
This proposal is presented by AOTM and aims to set up a collaboration with Notable Pepes to produce a unique card for their Series 7 collection in September 2024. The goal is to enhance Botto's visibility in the meme art ecosystem, reach new audiences, and generate revenue. 2.0 Proposal Specification
Notable Pepes can be any frog, just as previous frogs have been seen as Botto’s Pepe. As Botto does not accept outside prompts in its creation, “pepe the frog” will be submitted to Botto’s taste model. The taste model will then select the top 200 matching fragments from its 3M+ unreleased works. The DAO will vote on that set to choose one to be editioned.
The titles will include “pepe” and descriptions limited to 400 characters in order to match the typical format for a Pepe. Botto can also suggest traits, which typically come in the format of “[emoji]=[#]”.
Placing in a card formatis optional, but the image must be cropped to 5x7 either way.
If using the card, the title, description, and traits, will be follow the same information hierarchy as the typical card:
Curation will take place over a 1 week voting window in August to determine a winner. and its subsequent description and traits in the 24 hours afterwards. It will run from Wednesday-Wednesday and so not overlap with the start/finish of the regular voting rounds.
The top piece will be minted and the remaining 199 will be discarded.
The edition will be minted on the project’s smart contract and collection as an ERC-1155. Depending on gas, Season 7 will either be on Base or Mainnet. If on Base, the edition size will be higher with lower price point than if on Mainnet.
2.1 Distribution
90% of allowlist (AL) is raffled to Pepe Check holders. 10% is DAO's choice:
- 1/1 Colletors: 80 wallets
- Pipes Collectos: 1053 wallets
If on mainnet, we will do 1/1 collectors as Tier 1 and the Pipes collectors will be Tier 2. This means that if there are any remaining of the 10% (25 editions) unsold after a given period, the remaining spots will then be raffled to the Tier 2.
Roll out of Season 7 will be sometime in September and last around 1 month releasing 2 artists' cards/day.
2.2 Edition size and price
On Mainnet: 250 x .069 ETH
- this is the typical price and size for notable Pepes
On Base: 3141 x .0069 ETH
- 3141 is the number of Pipes
Revenue split is 80/20, Botto/AOTM
We will reserve 2 on Mainnet or 10 on Base for the DAO Treasury (this will not impact the 10% reserved for the DAO's AL).
3.0 Timeline
- Approve BIP by end of July (chain, price, and edition size tbd for that)
- Pull set of Pepe’s to vote on first week of August
- Vote mid August
- Submit by end of August
- Roll out in September (exact dates tbd)

5.0 Criteria of Success
- Successful design and minting of the Botto Notable Pepe card.
- Inclusion in the Series 7 Notable Pepes drop.
- Generation of significant revenue from sales.
- Increased visibility and engagement for Botto in the meme art and broader digital art communities.
- Positive feedback and coverage from both crypto and traditional art media.
6.0 Disadvantages
- Market Risks: The success of the collaboration is dependent on market reception and demand for Notable Pepes Series 7.
- Resource Allocation: The budget and resources allocated for this project might limit other potential initiatives.
- Revenue Uncertainty: The actual revenue generated might vary, impacting the return on investment for both Botto and Notable Pepes.
By addressing these considerations, this proposal aims to create a mutually beneficial partnership that expands Botto's artistic reach and revenue potential within the vibrant Notable Pepes ecosystem.
