Radar commemorates research by releasing Botto-derivative artwork in collaboration with BottoDAO

0. Summary
We’d love to collaborate on a piece of art between RADAR x BottoDAO to commemorate the Centaur Future research partnership.
Radar’s Art Director, Domingo (@glycemag on X/Twitter), will remix an existing Botto artwork (or combination of artworks) that were minted during the ethnographic study, which correspond to the Absurdism period. This will be a derivative of Botto’s work, respecting the mission and vision of Botto, while reflecting the underlying themes and questions at play in the Centaur Future research as explored through BottoDAO. While using Botto’s fragments, this would be a production of BottoDAO and Domingo, not Botto, as with Ceci n’est pas un Botto.
Ultimately, in an expression of balance between humanity and technology, this derivative artwork would take the shape of a printed poster as well as digital edition. Patrons of the RADAR research cycle would, based on their level of support, receive one of these posters and their digital counterparts.
The final derivative artwork would be minted as an NFT by Radar and sold as an open edition on Zora with proceeds split 50/50 with BottoDAO.
1. Rationale
RADAR is a decentralized collective of 300+ members who have set out to accelerate better futures — in multiplayer mode. We are many things: researchers, strategists, cultural analysts, network weavers, creative catalysts, facilitators, producers, entrepreneurs, co-designers, writers, makers.
2-3 times a year, RADAR runs a collective cycle — inviting our community and the public to become participants & stakeholders in a vision of a better future that’s ripe for emergence. They produce an open source public goods foresight work to educate and inspire people to build better futures.
We’re currently focused on a Centaur Future, at the convergence of man and machine. In this research we’ll explore questions like ‘what shape should that convergence take? Will it be combative, combinatory, or something else entirely? And moreover, what will it mean for our conception of ourselves, our lives, and one another?’
We believe that Botto truly embodies this research, where AI and humanity converge. We’ve loved being invited into the DAO and would like to commemorate this by producing an artwork which we can release at the end of the research process along with the report.

- Radar research reports are open source and accessible to all. They do not cost anything to read.
- We will sell the final collab artwork as an open edition NFT for 2-4 weeks following the release of the report at 0.015 ETH. We will split the sales 50/50.
4. Criteria of success
Bring a new audience to Botto and increase attention to the mission of BottoDAO.
Generate incremental revenues through collaborative NFT.
